You know that yoga is good for the body. It is also great for the brain: to think more clearly, build resiliency, and age more gracefully. Flexible and fit neurons mean flexible and fit behavior!

Taught by a former neuroscience professor, YogaFit’s Yoga for the Brain two-day workshop will illuminate basic principles of tuning the nervous system using concepts from therapeutic yoga, neural networks, and behavior modification.

With an emphasis on computational neurophysiology, you’ll explore how the nervous system and behavior are capable of constant refinement. We will talk about how individual neurons are wired together for specialization and enhancing contrast and how our focused attention serves as a signal boost. You will learn critical measures of and means to induce parasympathetic nervous system dominance. You’ll gain new techniques to focus attention, shift behavior, and increase the rest-and-digest activity of the parasympathetic nervous system. You will learn critical measures of and means to induce parasympathetic nervous system dominance. Your training manual will contain additional resources on nutrition for the brain and recommended books and sites for further study.

Required Materials (please bring to training):
Prior to the training, you will receive a PDF article via email. Please print and bring to the training with you. This article will be required homework reading and will be discussed on the second day of training.
