YogaFit® for the heart is a two day intensive training that guides fitness professionals on how to accommodate individuals with cardiovascular dysfunction through yoga. The American Heart Association® partnered with YogaFit® to combine the latest cardiovascular research with holistic eastern techniques to be an adjunct therapy for this specialty population. The fitness professional will learn and develop fitness based cardiovascular assessment techniques and demonstrate how to provide clients with a safe effective yoga class that improves cardiovascular health. The professional will also be able to demonstrate and understand the concepts of pranayama, yoga nidra, mantra, meditation, tantra, bandhas, and nadis, western and eastern recommendations for lifestyle changes in the cardiovascular client and how they relate to holistic healing.
