This course focuses on core concepts of Positive Psychology and how these concepts compliment and parallel foundational concepts of yoga. The foundational topics of yoga with reference to the Yoga Sutras, the Yamas, the Niyamas, and the Four Paths of Yoga will all be explored and compared to concepts of Positive Psychology. This course is also designed to provide students with information of the history, core contributors, and traits researched and highlighted in Positive Psychology and how they are and can be reinforced on the mat. The use and natural connection of the YogaFit® Essence and Transformational Language with Positive Psychology are applied in cueing and pose selection.
